Chain Gang

by C.R.H.
(Colorado)

There once was a chain gang of three.
They worked the Mississippi
Under the morning sun
From dawn till they were done
Let’s learn about them, shall we?

The first is sailor Joe
He hails from Idaho
Why is he in trouble you ask?
He stole the worlds largest bass
And he ate the entire thing whole

The second is Mr Bilbo
And I warn you so that you will know
That he is a troubled thief
And he will steal all your rings
So lock your doors and bar your windows

The last of the three
Why that would be me
My name is narrator Bo
I narrate wherever I go
I recite aloud to make Papa proud and I will continue to do so

Oh look, we are done
Goodbye waves the sun
And listen to the dinner bell chime
It’s been a long day but I’ve had a great time
Time to hit the hay till the next morning sun
